Submitted on May 25, 2001 School Testing Bandwagon Spawns Web Coaching Sites
OK, school testing may be a bandwagon, but web coaching is not. These sites prepare students for standardized tests. They are the first edge of the wedge that will redefine learning - after all, if the student is actually learning from the coaching service, why should they be wasting their time in a school? And for that matter (it will be argued) why should the school get all the taxpayer support whent he coaching service is doing the actual teaching? Like I said, thin edge of the wedge.
