The gunroom The Gunroom is a web site for enthusiasts of the works of Patrick O'Brian (1914-2000), best remembered for his historical novels chronicling the naval adventures of Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin. World wide words The World Wide Words web site is a large online resource explaining English words and phrases. The author of the site, Michael Quinion, is a word enthusiast who has written books on the subject, compiled a weekly column for a national newspaper, and contributed to the Oxford Dictionary of New Words. The web site was established in 1996 and has since grown to more than 1,500 archived pages. Quinion's focus is on what words and phrases mean, where they are derived from, how they have evolved, and how they are sometimes misused. Li gieus de Robin et de Marion This Web site offers a digital version of and study guide to Adam de la Halle's comic medieval French play, Le Jeu de Robin et Marion, or Li Gieus de Robin et de Marion.
