The astronomical instruments of Tycho Brahes The Astronomical Instruments of Tycho Brahe is a Web site about the great Danish astronomer, whose instruments helped measure astronomical phenomena to a previously unattainable degree of accuracy. It includes a short biography of Brahe, a bibliography, and a list of links. The most significant feature of the resource, however, is the online version of his Astronomiae Instauratae Mecanica of 1598. The digitised pages of the original Latin publication, with its full colour illustrations, may be viewed online at various magnification levels. Anthology of medieval German literature The Anthology of Medieval German Literature is an online collection of texts, compiled and edited by Professor Albert K Wimmer, with introductions to and commentaries of each text. The book of Taliesin The Book of Taliesin dates from the early fourteenth century and is one of the most famous manuscripts in the Welsh language. It contains many of the poems attributed to Taliesin, and verses relating to the exploits of King Arthur and to the feats of Hercules and Alexander the Great. The manuscript is incomplete, having lost several of its original leaves. The Web site consists of a brief introductory paragraph about the content of the manuscript, and another describing its history and transmission.
