Institutions and FacilitiesThe Manitoba Community Colleges, Red River, Assiniboine and Keewatin,operate under Boards of Governors for each College which representa cross section of their communities. Red River Community College
is located on a 160 acre site near
the International Airport in Winnipeg, a city of approximately
650,000, with extension centres throughout the interlake and
southeastern regions of Manitoba. RRCC has approximately 500
full timeinstructors and serves a student population of
approximately 5000
full time and 20,000 part time students. It offers post secondary
diploma and certificate programs in applied arts, applied sciences,
business, community services, developmental education, health,
technology and apprentice trades, many of which are articulated
with degree programs at the
Universities of Winnipeg
and Manitoba.
RRCC also delivers programming at the advanced diploma level
intechnology and management.
Assiniboine Community College
is located in Brandon, a city of
approximately 40,000 in western Manitoba, with extension centres
throughout western Manitoba. ACC has approximately 100 full time
instructors and serves a student population of approximately 1000
full time students. It offers post secondary diploma and certificate
programs in applied arts, business, community services, development
aleducation, technology and apprentice trades, some of which are
articulated with degree programs at
Brandon University.
Keewatin Community College
has campuses located in The Pas and
Thompson, cities of approximately 10,000 located in northern Manitoba,
with extension centres throughout northern Manitoba. KCC has
approximately 100 full time instructors and serves a student
population of approximately 1000 full time students. It offers post
secondary diploma and certificate programs in applied arts, business,
community services,
developmental education, technology and apprentice trades.
