Overview to the Fundamentals of Lesson Planning [Page 3]
- Lesson planning
- There are two parts to lesson planning. The first is designing
it and second is developing the lesson.
- Designing a lesson is the first stage where global planning
is completed.
- Developing the lesson is the second stage where details are
planned (e.g., specific content is chosen, specific pages from
textbook are chosen and transparencies are made).
- You may need to print slide three so that you can review it
as you proceed through the slide show.
- Lesson-at-a-glance
- This slide show walks you through the steps of lesson planning.
The lesson format discussed here is the one that you will use
to plan your course assignment
- Once again there are numerous lesson plan formats but most
of them have similar information in them.
- Course assignment
- This set of slides will describe the course assignment. Do
not complete this assignment until you have completed all
the sections of this course
Each slide show will begin with its objective(s) and end with
several self assessment exercises that reflect the objectives.
