There are three kinds of learning objectives
- Cognitive - having to do with thinking, knowing, and problem-solving. The acquisition of knowledge of skills and abilities necessary to use the knowledge.
- Affective - Having to do with attitudes, feelings, values, interests, and appreciation. It consists of exploring feelings, developing of own values, understanding and analyzing the values that we and other hold, and remain amenable to change on the basis of rational thought.
- Psychomotor - Having to do with manual and motor skills. It is doing.
Often course outlines and lesson plan are written using cognitive learning objectives only.
