Independent Study (6 credit hours)

Credit may be given for up to 6 credit hours of course work for:

• the successful completion of relevant courses, workshops, seminars or other professional education related to teaching the student's specific vocational or subject area. To apply for a credit a detailed outline of the content of the courses, workshops or seminars completed and evidence of successful completion must be submitted to the CAE Program Manager at the Teacher Education Office, Red River Community College for evaluation.

• a program of study consisting of research, self-study, workshops, seminars and/or course work can be developed relating to professional education issues in the student's specific vocational or subject area. This program of study must be arranged with the CAE Program Manager at the Teacher Education Office, Red River Community College.
