Rationale: The rationale is a one or two sentence explanation of why the course is important from the viewpoint of the community or industry. It explains in what way the course meets the needs of the appropriate industry, business, or community. It makes two statements: what are the needs of the industry, business, or community; and it states that the course will address their needs by teaching these skills, content, and attitudes.

Goal: The goal is one or two sentences of what students can expect to accomplish by the end of the course. It is written from the view of what students will be able to do (Student will learn mathematical and problem-solving skills for applications).

Prerequisites list all the courses that must be taken prior to taking this course. If there are no prerequisites, then type acceptance into the program/course.

Target Population indicate who the course is designed to attract.

General Objectives: Describe general objectives in much more detail.

Specific Objectives: Describe specific objectives in much more detail
