Articulation With University Degree Programs
Bachelor of Education Degree in Vocational Education
The course work and instructional experience required for the
CAE can be applied to the Integrated RRCC-University of Manitoba
Bachelor of Education degree program for majors in Vocational
Education.
Applications for admission is made through the RRCC Teacher Education
Office. The admission requirements for the integrated B.Ed. program
are: Grade 12 or equivalent with university level writing skills;
the appropriate training and/or licensing for the vocational area;
a minimum of six years of work experience in the vocational area
(includes the training period); and an interview with the Admissions
Board to determine technical expertise.
Applicants meeting the admission requirements are given credit
for the first year of the degree program (Vocational Training
and Work Recognition Year). The course work and instructional
experience required for the CAE can be applied towards the requirements
for the second year if they meet the specific course requirements
indicated in the Program of Studies. The remaining two years of
the degree program are completed at the University of Manitoba.
