It takes a bit to get there - there's no way to drive, you have to take the ferry - but the Harbour Islands, in Lake Ontario just across from downtown Toronto, are well worth the visit. The park is much larger than it appears on any map, and it is easy to lose oneself - and to find some wildlife.
