In addition to the smaller items mentioned in this article (such as, TiVo offering commercials on demand), we saw internet video being made available for television sets, Warner brothers selling movies in BitTorrent, MSN launching original video content, and CBS launching a free ad-supported broadband channel. Add this to the rise of sites like Rocketboom and the runaway success of video hosting services such as Google Video and YouTube and many more, and you have in total the unleashing of video on the web. Does it feel different yet?
