We hear from time to time complaints about the supposedly 'Liberal media'. That old saw has always been a crock, of course, as even the slightest analysis of media content would reveal.
Reading this item nonetheless grates. Not because of the surprise, but because of the audacity of it. Our media establishment is now so corrupt, so riddled with old money and power, that it need not even bother hiding its affiliation with the right wing.
Charlotte Bell should resign her position with CanWest for violating the trust of its viewers and readers. Bev Oda, who reviews television policy for the Conservative government, should also resign. Neither will, of course, and this story won't be on the news either.
