What I like about this approach isn't the stand-up desks, particularly, but that students have the option to stand up, sit down, or whatever. I know that when I work, I stand up, sit down, move around, and am generally constantly in motion. "Teachers in Minnesota and Wisconsin say they know from experience that the desks help give children the flexibility they need to expend energy and, at the same time, focus better on their work rather than focusing on how to keep still."
