The press is all over a story of tenants being evicted from a rented house after posting wild party pictures on Facebook. The house, reports say, was completely trashed, and the tenants fled before getting evicted, leaving the owner, Carolyn Lorimer, with thousands of dollars worth of damage.

This is merely lack of understanding what Facebook really is, and, more importantly, how its privacy settings work. These folks should not have trashed this lady's house, of course, but posting photos of it for everyone to see is obviously not a very smart thing to do, akin to slapping them onto a wall on the street. On the other hand, the incident might provoke landlords to start searching for party pictures on social networks - you never know when your thrashed apartment might show up.
