This article looks at a post from Josh Bersin that asserts essentially that corporate learning of the future will look a lot like TV (especially if that TV is Netflix). He offers a number of examples (one of which is pictured here) to make the case. Catherine Lombardozzi writes, "it's great to see that vendors are now devising systems to more seamlessly integrate a wide range of content from multiple providers," but notes, citing Steven Rosenbaum, that "aggregation without curation is just a big pile of stuff." She adds, "Effective curation requires tagging, contextualizing, highlighting, making connections, and generating discussion." I think we'll find that a lot of the work of curation is done automatically in the future, leaving us to focus on the real issues in online learning - not serach and discovery, but rather, use, practice, and propagation.
