It seems great. I'm currently mainly experimenting with The Beaker Browser and dat-files, but I'd love to go further and try out the technologies suggested here (IPFS, virtualization). However, I'm a bit concerned about security issues.

Hi, will you offer the course at a later time again? I am quite sure, I won't have enough time to participate in October/ November, even though I would love to.

If there's enough demand, probably.

This is an expression of the demand for myself and three of my colleagues. Excellent work on this by the way.

This is an enormous topic and gets to the heart of online education -- who decides, and using what criteria, that the student has gained knowledge/expertise/proficiencies? And, of course, what part does the student/participant play in determining her/his own gains from the experience. ... On the high school level, this conundrum is exactly that and is complicated by teacher's unions wishing to protect jobs and by school districts seeking to maintain long-held "standards" and ways of doing things.

I recently asked my district what it would take to pilot a mastery based system in mathematics (which leads toward a credential-based education system). The answer was, of course, that this would be impossible in the current system. The conclusion - when seat time in a course determines funding, changing the formula would mean losing money. Sad.
I followed the link and found a weeklong series. "Five essays on the timely theme of "Truth" and current challenges to it." I'm in the US and the BBC4 player is working.
Will this also include philosophy? Have just been reading around edusemiotics and wondered if this is relevant.

At some point you had spelled out (in a chat) the different types of content and how you intended to pitch them - that would be useful to include- Paraphrasing... it was something like - the videos were accessible, the summaries/intros/typed posts were more probing, and the resources were for those who wanted to take it further and engage more... it would be useful to have that sort of thing here. You said it far more elegantly whenever it was, I can't place it now. (sorry)

Yes. That's the best time for an international audience.
I know. I've been working to make it as easy as possible. It's much easier on a site like Reclaim Hosting. I will have a look at Bluehost and GoDaddy to see what I can do.
