Just to clear up some confusion. All learning is in-person. Nobody learns outside of themselves. The question at issue is whether in-person education is the gold standard. And what that means is that the educator - whether an instructor, coach, tutor, whatever - is right there at the learner's side, in person. And this, most definitely, is open to dispute. After all, we have for centuries perfected the art of making it possible to learn without requiring that the instructor be present, whether through books, news media, television or digital media. And I've said before and I'll say it again: for many people and for many reasons, it's better to keep the educator at a distance. Sociability is nice, and I'm sure people enjoy a night with friends or family, But that's not the purpose of education, and we shouldn't confuse it with our social lives.
