Here is a classic guide for critical thinking. It is an oldie but goodie! At the pace & volume at which information is available, the hardest thing to do is evaluate it. I like the Fairness & Significance questions. Have you seen this one before & can we add newer questions to update it? #criticalthinking #emotionalintelligence #inclusiveworkplace

Timely reminder …. Particularly at a time when many media reporters appear more driven by clickbait headlines and/or partisan politics, and these tenets appear to be heavily diluted or forgotten altogether.

Love this! Thank you LynnAnn. For the most part, critical thinking is missing in our world today. Most people are afraid to question the current narrative.

So important, but so hard to master it. Specially in today's world. Should we give more attention to it or should we relativize?

Yes. Here goes another one: FRAMING. What is the main frame you are using? What frames would be useful? Using each frame, what other ways of looking and thinking come up ?

Just follow Grice's Maxims, with their intelligent combinations: The maxim of quantity, where one tries to be as informative as one possibly can, and gives as much information as is needed, and no more. The maxim of quality, where one tries to be truthful, and does not give information that is false or that is not supported by evidence. The maxim of relation, where one tries to be relevant, and says things that are pertinent to the discussion. The maxim of manner, when one tries to be as clear, as brief, and as orderly as one can in what one says, and where one avoids obscurity and ambiguity
