Here is a classic guide for critical thinking. It is an oldie but goodie! At the pace & volume at which information is available, the hardest thing to do is evaluate it. I like the Fairness & Significance questions. Have you seen this one before & can we add newer questions to update it? #criticalthinking #emotionalintelligence #inclusiveworkplace
Awesome share thanks. Speaking less is sometimes saying more.
Classics are always good to revisit, thank you LynnAnn B.
Just follow Grice's Maxims, with their intelligent combinations: The maxim of quantity, where one tries to be as informative as one possibly can, and gives as much information as is needed, and no more. The maxim of quality, where one tries to be truthful, and does not give information that is false or that is not supported by evidence. The maxim of relation, where one tries to be relevant, and says things that are pertinent to the discussion. The maxim of manner, when one tries to be as clear, as brief, and as orderly as one can in what one says, and where one avoids obscurity and ambiguity
Great piece!
This is a good matrix, but I think an "Honesty" box would be appropriate as well, with some bullets like, - Do I really believe the argument I'm putting forward, or am I just trying to persuade people for some other reason? - Have I really given thought to the above 9 boxes, or am I just checking them off to be more persuasive?
Thanks for posting
Cool stuff. Nice one LynnAnn.
What a great reminder - thank you LynnAnn for sharing 😀
