This article is a follow-up on Spotify's recent launch of comments on podcasts and queries "whether Spotify will add something similar for music artists in the future," which I guess would make it the 2024 version of MySpace. The main thing to know about Spotfy, in my opinion, is that it tried to convert all of podcasting into a paid commercial space. I'm not sure it has been successful (I certainly don't use it) and it may become the victim of shifting tides as fediverse applications like NeoDB may be taking over the fan space for movies, music and talk.
