There are exactly zero surprises in this report, which is a summary of feedback received on the possible use of AI in the Canadian public service. There were four major pillars governing its use: it should be human-centred, it should support collaborative work, systems should be reliable and ready to use, and it should foster trust and be trustworthy. Where it should not be used: automated decision-making, surveillance, employment-related decisions, decision-making and policy recommendations, and decisions about eligibility for social services.
