Let us review what we have done in this course so far. The objectives are written, the content is selected and sequenced, and the instructional methods are chosen. Now the evaluation instrument(s) must be selected.

In this course we will not spend any time teaching you about more evaluation instruments. We will review the ones that you already know. Once this is completed, then we can examine them from several perspectives that will help you determine the appropriate instrument or instruments for the particular lesson that you are planning to teach.

Take a few minutes now and list all the evaluation instruments that you have experienced or have heard about. Remember the various ones from grade school and any other teaching situation that you have ever been in. Try to think of a minimum of twenty.
