I've had a few reports of a forthcoming 'GPhone', to be offered by Google, which would be based on Linux, include Google maps, and cost a lot less. I'm a bit sceptical, as it would be Google's first foray into hardware. Still, I cannot deny the importance of this angle: "Is the GPhone going to be a sub-$100 device that takes on the One Laptop Per Child project?" More, from Monkey Bites.
