One of the more daunting acronyms, ODELUCE is funded by the Socrates Programme of the European Community as part of a program to promote European cooperation in the field of Open and Distance Learning. Launched in 2001, it is scheduled to last three years. The site recently launched a discussion area, known as the Common Room, and hosts a news service. There's not a lot of activity yet, but the site has about 70 members.
