This short email looks at three ways companies try to capture the knowledge of their employees in a central knowledge base. Though all three work to a degree, they tend to be either cumbersome (such as the program offered by Kubi Software that extends Outlook and Lotus Notes) or intrusive (such as the program by Tacit that reads emails and builds profiles based on their contents).
