We're still in early days, but this is going to become mainstream in a hurry, and people with a Kinect will be able to play online games and manipulate websites with hand or body gestures. How long before this replaces the mouse completely? Developers have thrown together a basic Kinect sockets package that allows Flash, Javascript and other client applications to access Kinect functionality. So it's something any application can have, the way they can access, say, keyboard or mouse input today.
