History and description of Education Network Australia (EdNA), the major educational metadata standards body Down Under. Future work for EdNA includes plans to "establish and extend online knowledge networks, by stimulating the growth of online learning communities through setting up and maintaining hubs, networks and partnerships." Worth noting in this plan (and I wonder how some EDUCAUSE delegates reacted) was a committment by EdNA was a committment to open source and a distributed resource discovery system ("a single EdNA search will beCRLFcapable of simultaneously accessing the EdNA metadata repository, harvested repositories and any number of searchable external repositories"). I am looking forward to the day when DLORN can harvest EdNA metadata.
