Universities Canada - the body that represents Canada's research universities - has released a set of four policy briefs for the ongoing federal election. Here they are:
- Crossing borders, opening minds - "invest in a bold program of support for short-term domestic and international student mobility"
- Closing Canada's Indigenous education gap - "commit to substantial, sustained growth in student support and financial assistance for Indigenous students"
- Building prosperity through university research - "sustained research funding for the base budgets of the federal research granting councils... and enhance support for international research collaboration"
- Equipping Canada's youth for the future - "employer-focused measures to create more paid co-op placements and internships for students."
