Knowledge, Learning, Community

This is a terrific article that gives you an insider's view of programming neural networks and an outsider's view of some of the magic they can do with images and poetry. It doesn't always go as planned; the best line from the artilce is this: "Unfortunately, I've had trouble making it say anything interesting about language, as it prefers to rattle on and on about the U.S. and Israel and Palestine." That's what he gets for studying with Chomsky! All kidding aside, if you're interested in real learning theory, have a look at this post. Oh, and maybe Andrej Karpathy's The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Recurrent Neural Networks
