EDUCAUSE has released the 2018 New Media Consortium Horizon Report (60 page PDF). Thi year's is worth a look because it's NMC under new management. The process, though, is basically the same: "Dozens of meaningful trends, challenges, and important developments in technology are examined for possible inclusion in the report for each edition before the expert panel selects the 18 topics profiled in the report." Is it better this year than in the past? Well, no. It's the usual mix of AI, learning spaces, analytics and measurement, mixed reality, makerspaces and robotics.
