I don't actually have this problem because I don't read news on sites where you have to login. But this article demonstrates how muddled the situation is for people who do read paywalled content. It's not so much the $10 per month (though this really adds up quickly) as it is the constant logging in to follow links posted on other sites (especially social media sites). That's also why in this newsletter I link only to sites that don't block their content with a login (if you hit one following a link from here, please let me know).
