As noted on Metafilter, "opensyllabus.org scraped 6 million syllabi and put them into a searchable database." Though I can't recommend the searches that Metafilter members immediately conducted. Nonetheless, browsing through this resource made me wonder what Tony Hirst or Matthias Melcher might do with it. Now to be clear: there's no way to actually view the syllabi, which is unfortunate and not very open (here's a sample). You can only see the list of books assigned (or associated with) the syllabi (which essentially makes the site a greate big Amazon affiliate engine).
