I wouldn't necessarily support absolutely everything in this article, but what I want to focus on is the good effort to focus on equitable and inclusive classrooms. This becomes possible only if this is the priority of each classroom, and one which engages not only teachers but also students. It's hard to do and involves (suggest the authors) rethinking thinks like special ed classes, working toward the least restrictive environment (LRE) for each student, and rather than tearing down the dreams and aspirations students have, planning around them. Ideally, such an approach looks beyond the classroom, and finds a way to reach out to other classes in the community and around the world, because equity and inclusion are worth nothing if only the most fortunate enjoy them.
