This is the first I've seen of the 'Double Diamond' design methodology, though I guess it has been around for 20 years (according to the LinkedIn post). To me, though, it could be rewritten as the first four steps of ADDIE (and the omission of an 'evaluation' step seems like a glaring omission). Still, it's representative of a pretty standard approach to design. Yet while something like this is probably the right way to do it, I find it interesting that it has never been my approach. I don't do anything in sequence; everything's in parallel, based on my mood of the day, and I have some steps (casual browsing, off-topic conversations, taking photos) that are (to me) important parts of my method, but would never shouw up in a methodology such as this.
