You don't have to visit those websites. RSS still exists, aggregators still work. Blogs are still being published by thousands of people around the world." The only person stopping you from stepping outside a paywall-defined and/or toxic meta-site is you. That other internet exists - you have just conditioned yourself to pretend it's not there.
