The fediverse is experiencing some growing pains and pushback. In the wake of Mozilla announcing it is shutting down its Mastodon instance there is increased attention to stories like this where people have found the demands of things like moderation too much to handle on a day to day basis. "Feels like a big weight falling off," writes Esther Strange. Related: Andy Wingo writes that the fediverse is for losers. "What is fedi's plan to win?
