I don't think I can access the Washington Post archive anyways - I just don't have enough money for that - so this particular example doesn't worry me. Nor does losing access to carefully rewritten press releases published in much of the commercial press. But I do want access to original research, not for things like Weller's stellar wit, but for access to the actual facts and data (assuming they exist) being used to draw inferences.
