It's nothing personal, they say - they're just using some open proxies, automating sign-on procedures, and filling your comment pages with links to their sites. And making six figure incomes to boot. In related news, Alan Levine notes that backtrack spam has started - something I've been expecting for a while (which is why I don't use it). And aggregator spam has also started - I took the 'feed submission' page on Edu_RSS offline after getting more than a 1,000 new advertising RSS feeds submitted over the weekend - this is the end of Technorati, Blogdex (which is already featuring some of these sites in its top ten) and the rest (but not of Edu_RSS, which is based on a different model).
