The Living Arts: The Future of Learning Online
May 25, 2005
Slides and MP3 Audio of my talk today at the University of Guelph. The title is derived from my walking tour yesterday of Mississauga, a tour that led me to the Living Arts Centre. I used this as a metaphor for a picture of education as immersion in what might be called real-world activities, showed how game based learning and workflow learning are steps in this direction, and explained how the mechanisms of content syndication and e-portfolios, as described in Scott Wilson's recent talk, are the mechanisms that make this possible. Sorry about the size of the PowerPoint (7 meg) - I need to reduce the size of some of the photos I took in Mississauga.
