The five steps (assess readiness, quantify desired outcomes, develop social platform, improve access, get feedback) remind me of ADDIE and while useful aren't core. What struck me as interesting was the definition of social learning theory from Wikipedia: "new behaviors can be acquired by observing and imitating others. It states that learning is a cognitive process that takes place in a social context and can occur purely through observation or direct instruction." This is from Bandura (46 page PDF) in the 1960s. Contrast this with another definition from Wikipedia which defines it as "learning that takes place at a wider scale than individual or group learning, up to a societal scale, through social interaction between peers. It may or may not lead to a change in attitudes and behaviour." This is from Reed et.al. in 2010. Both of these can and should be contrasted with what might be called modern social learning theory, which stresses interaction, emotion and presence, co-production, and feedback.
