This is an article I wrote for my students in Grande Prairie in 1993. It uses a concrete example to show how I deconstruct an actual opinion article and use my analysis to write a good critical essay. Of course, the ultimate purpose isn't to write essays - it's to train yourself to think like this as you're reading opinion articles.
